About
My Approach

As a psychologist, trust and communication are central to my work and I value collaboration with those I work with. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. In our work together, we'll figure out which approach - or combination of approaches - works best for you. In other words, I'll work with you to customize a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your unique needs.

Therapeutic Fit

The key to effective therapy is a good fit between you and your provider. While I am trained to provide treatment across a broad spectrum of clinical issues, I tend to fit best with individuals who are:

18 years or older
Experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions as primary issues
Looking for a therapist who is both supportive and challenging
Geeky, nerd, or otherwise tech savvy
What You Can Expect

Different types of therapy and therapist personality work for different people. If we work together, here's what you can expect from me:

Warm, supportive, and non-judgmental interactions

Honesty and openness

Out-of-session practice (aka homework) if appropriate

Occasional sarcasm, memes, and nerdy references

What I Provide:

(telehealth only)

Perhaps you're down or anxious - maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship, or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to lead. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. Therapy is a process of growth and self-discovery, and every individual has their own unique journey to navigate. I am trained in a variety of different treatment approaches including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and adamantly believe in collaboratively creating a course of treatment that is customized to each individuals' needs and preferences.

Being dual-qualified in both psychology and gaming provides a deeply informed perspective on the role and impact of games and other technologies in daily life. In this digital age, being familiar with games, gaming, and geek culture is essential to being an informed and competent provider. I am passionate about sharing my knowledge and experience on the intersection of games and mental health and am available to book for talks, trainings, and workshops for mental health providers and educators. Please contact me for my rates, availability, and other additional details.
