Mental health for the digital age.
Maintaining your mental health and well-being in a hyperconnected digital world is tough. For those whose livelihoods or passions rely on technology, it's important to have a tech-knowledgeable, geek-savvy mental health professional to turn to.

I'm a licensed clinical psychologist providing telehealth and psychological testing to adults in Maryland, Virginia, and New York.

Clinical Areas of Expertise
Anxiety, ADHD, Depression, Life Transitions, Relationship Issues, Self-Esteem, Imposter Syndrome, Stress, Women's Issues

Stressors related to work in the tech and game industries, unique challenges of being a digital content creator, parasocial relationships, challenges of living on the internet (e.g. Discord, Twitch, YouTube, etc).
My Approach

As a psychologist, trust and communication are central to my work and I value collaboration with those I work with. I am trained in a variety of therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioral therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, and dialectical behavior therapy. In our work together, we'll figure out which approach - or combination of approaches - works best for you. In other words, I'll work with you to customize a treatment plan that is specifically tailored to your unique needs.

Therapeutic Fit
The key to effective therapy is a good fit between you and your provider. While I am trained to provide treatment across a broad spectrum of clinical issues, I tend to fit best with individuals who are:

18 years or older
Experiencing anxiety, depression, and life transitions as primary issues
Looking for a therapist who is both supportive and challenging
Geeky, nerd, or otherwise tech savvy
What You Can Expect
Different types of therapy and therapist personality work for different people. If we work together, here's what you can expect from me:
Warm, supportive, and non-judgmental interactions
Honesty and openness
Out-of-session practice (aka homework) if appropriate
Occasional sarcasm, memes, and nerdy references

Media Policy
As a psychologist cross-qualified in game design, I am sometimes asked to speak publicly about my expertise on games and mental health. I am also active on social media and other public platforms. Confidentiality for the people I work with is my #1 priority at all times. See below for my media policy for current / former clients for detailed information.
